A child playing the piano

How this started

It began with one boy in a town with no piano teacher.

I was on holiday when a family who ran a small hotel asked me to teach their son. They lived in a remote town, and there was no piano teacher for miles. That was the first lesson I ever gave.

Watching him discover the magic behind music changed the direction of my life. More than ten years later I am still teaching — in music schools in Ecuador and Spain, privately, and online since 2020.

I am not a hierarchical teacher. I sit down, I listen to what a child is actually asking, and I guide them towards their own answers. That works just as well through a screen as it does in a room.

Parents ask

The questions I get before the first lesson.

Does online really work for a child?

I have taught online full time since 2020. Sessions run with high-definition audio and a multi-camera setup, so I can see hand position and posture as clearly as I would sitting next to them.

What if we miss a week?

Nothing is wasted. I use the reserved time to record a personalised video review based on your child’s previous practice, and you find it in the private portal.

Can I sit in on the lessons?

Yes. Many parents watch the first few sessions and then step back once their child has settled in.

What ages do you teach?

I teach kids from ages 6 up.

What language are the lessons in?

I can comfortably teach both in Spanish and English.

What does my child need at home?

A keyboard, a laptop with good internet connection and a proper piano chair to adjust the height to his/her best fit.

How does payment work?

The monthly pass is billed securely and automatically each month, and the plan can be changed with a little notice. Single sessions are paid through Stripe or PayPal.

In their words

What parents say.

From the first minute, there was an incredible connection. My son is a bit shy, but Luis knows exactly how to connect with his students; he understands them and speaks their language. He has progressed immensely in a very short time thanks to a teacher who, besides being an incredible pianist, knows how to transmit his knowledge. 100% recommended
Fatima, mother of enzo (6 years old)
It has been a very rewarding experience. Luis is a great teacher because he deeply empathizes with the student's mood and interests, adapting his classes to achieve real, genuine, and full motivation. We have witnessed a great improvement in his piano technique and overall well-being when attending classes. We are very grateful..
